Sally Mayer, 61, Green Bay, died peacefully Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at a local nursing home. She was born Jan. 10, 1949, in Sturgeon Bay, to Wallace and Geraldine (Vertz) Wickman.
Sally graduated from Green Bay East High School in the Class of 1968.
She was employed as a custodian for many area businesses and worked most recently at Sears. Sally also was a part-time bartender at Good Times for several years. She was a past member of St. Patrick Parish.
Sally enjoyed playing many different card games and cribbage. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Sally is survived by four sons, Bobby Mayer Jr., Michigan; Timmy Mayer, Embarrass, Wis.; Kevin Mayer, Cory Mayer and his fiancee, Melissa McQuillin, all of Green Bay; seven grandchildren, Timmy, Charity, Samuel, Kailey, Cory, Paige and Deja; two great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Jaden; her children's father, Bob Mayer; two brothers, two sisters and their spouses, Billy Wickman, David (Debbie) Wickman, Ginny (Dick) Vandermoss, June Britt; many other relatives and friends.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wallace Wichman, Jr.; and a sister, Nancy Suski.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Timothy Brandt officiating. Burial of the urn will be in Riverside Cemetery, Embarrass, Wis.
