Woodsboro, died Sunday, Jan 18, at
Northampton Manor Nursing
Home, Frederick. He was 87.
Born Dec 15, 1910, in Frederick
County, he was a son of the late
Charles A. and Mary Riddlemoser
Wickless.

He was the husband of Annabelle
Smith Wickless, his wife of 64 years.
Mr Wickless had been employed
with the Potomac Edison Co for 39
years, retiring in 1975. He was a former
president of the Glade Valley
Lions Club; the second president of
the Woodsboro Volunteer Fire Co;
served as a former commissioner
and later mayor of Woodsboro; and
was formerly chairman of the planning
and zoning board of Woodsboro.
He was a member of the
Glenn W. Eyler American Legion
Post 282, Woodsboro, and the
Benevolent and Protective Order of
Elks, Frederick

Surviving in addition to his wife are by two daughters, Carol and husband Reyburn Browning of Purcellville, Va., and Sandra and husband Dr. Ralph Merchant of Shippensburg,Pa.; a brother, Joseph Frederick Wickless of Linthicum Heights; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by
seven sisters and brothers.
