Bertha A. "Jerry" ALter, 86, Klamath Falls, died May 15, 1997, in Klamath Falls.
Mrs. Alter was born in Washington to Arthur and Ruth Wickersham. She married Dale Alter August 1, 1935, in Klamath Falls.
She lived in Klamath Falls for 68 years after moving from Centralia.
Mrs. Alter was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Garden Club. She also was Cub Scout leader, and a member of the Parent Teacher Association.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jon and Karen Alter, Sparks, Nev., and Mary and Christy Alter, Klamth Falls; grandchildren, Michael and Elliott Alter, Margaretn Brown, Klamath Falls, Debra Polkinghorn and Marti Alter, Roseburg, Shelly Merritt, For Lewis, Wash., Kelly Alter, Gainesville, Fla., Brandon Alter, Incline Villate, Nev., and Sarah Alter, Sparks, Nev; niece and nephew, Jim and Betty Knoles, Kent, Wash.; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale.
