BEAVERTON, Or., July 21. – (Special.) – Mrs. Lurinda Whitney Davis, 86, died here Saturday at the home of her only daughter, Mrs. F. G. Donaldson, Mrs. Davis was born September 30, 1843, in New Portland, Me. When 10 years old she moved to Steele county, Minnesota, where she lived for 70 years. She was married to J. Warren Davis October 12, 1870. He died in 1918. Seven years ago she came to make her home with her daughter. The funeral services were held Sunday in the Bethel Congregational church. Rev. T. A. Dungan, assisted by Rev. George Taylor, officiating. Interment was at the Riverview cemetery today.
