LEOMINSTER, May 10 - Walter F. Whitney, 76, of 54 Church street died yesterday at his home. He was born in this city and was a retired manufacturer. He was a member of Aleppo Temple of Mystic Shrine; charter member of Fitchburg lodge of Elks, and the Leominster Sportsmen's
club.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Adelaide (Dodson) Whitney; three sons, Roscoe of this city, Morgan M. of Hempstead, L. I, and Walter F. Whitney, Jr, of Cranston, 8.1,; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Nellie Wells of Cranford, N. J. The funeral will be at the Charles H. Rchardson funeral home tomorrow at 2. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
