Susan F. Whitney 1961 - 2009 SPRINGFIELD - Susan F. Whitney, 47, of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 18, 2009. Born October 12, 1961 in Springfield, MA, she was a daughter to Lloyd and Florence (Lysik) Vaudrin Sr. Sue was a graduate of Commerce High School and a communicant of Holy Cross Church. She was employed at Baystate Medical Center as a self-pay representative for the past 9 years, and previously was employed by Unicare. She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael and her cherished daughter, Rebecca. She will also be missed by her beloved parents Lloyd and Florence; sisters Cindy Stevens and her husband, Ronnie; and Christine Summers and her husband, Michael all of Springfield; brothers Lloyd Vaudrin Jr. and his wife, Denise of Springfield; Brian Vaudrin and his wife, Debbie of Ludlow; Glen Vaudrin and his wife, Rose of Wilbraham. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Patti Whitney of Florida; brother-in-law, David Whitney and his wife, Barbara of Chelmsford, MA; and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. A funeral service for Sue will be held on Friday, May 22, 2009 beginning at 9:45 AM from Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., East Longmeadow with a Liturgy of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 11:00 AM, in Holy Cross Church, Springfield. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 21st from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Sue's name to the MSPCA, 350 S. Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
