Jerry Telford Whitney, a former employee of Teledyne Continental Motors, died Sunday at a local hospital. He was 64. Whitney was a lifelong resident of Mobile. Survivors include his wife, Ramona Whitney of Mobile; two sons, Wesley Whitney of Mobile and Elvis Whitney of Eight Mile; two daughters, Jerri Lynn Shuttlesworth of Theodore and Judy Brown of Fairhope; a sister, Sonja Curtis of Mobile; five brothers, Billy Whitney of Summerdale, Terry Whitney, Larry Whitney, Donald Whitney and Tommy Whitney, all of Mobile; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home on Old Pascagoula Road, where the funeral is set for noon Wednesday. Burial will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens. 05/09/2005
