Madge Whitmire Barnes, of Royston, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center in Royston. Mrs. Barnes was born in Brevard, N.C., on January 10, 1912, the daughter of the late Cair and Pearl Neill Whitmire. She was a retired secretary and a member of the Royston First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the LOVE Circle and the Adult Bible Study.
