He was born in Pueblo, Colorado to parents Gerald L. and Helen L. Whiting.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Vernon; his parents; a half-sister, Mildred (Fisher) Wadzinski and a half-brother, Donald Fisher.
After his death one of his four children immerged. Gerald G. Whiting Jr. lives in Indianappolis, Indiana. He has two teenage sons and a wife. GGJr. Doesn't know the where abouts of his half brothers and/or sisters.
He is also survived by a brother, Larry Whiting of Littleton, Colorado; a half-brother, Fred W. Fisher of Lincoln, Nebraska and his half-sister, Janet (Fisher) Steward of Lincoln, Nebraska.
He served in the U.S. Army.
