Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Ann Dandois, 56, Farmers Branch, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, in the United Methodist Church in Frankston with the Rev, Lee Lamb officiating.
Burial was in the Athens City Cemetery under direction of the Thompson Funeral Home in Frankston.
Mrs. Dandois died Thursday, May 9, in a Farmers Branch hospital after an extended illness.
She was born May 16, 1934, in Athens, had lived in Farmers Branch the last 30 years. She was formerly of Frankston. She was a registered nurse, a graduate of the Frankston High School and received her bachelor of sciences degree in nursing from the University of Houston. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Carrollton. She was active in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch PTA and the area Girl Scouts.
Survivors include her husband, John M. Dandois of Farmers Branch; a son, John M. Dandois Jr., of Carrollton; two daughters, Sue Dandois of Denver, and Annette Davis of Grand Prarie; her mother Mrs. W.E. (Blue) Whitsides of Frankston; two brothers, Edward Whitesides Jr. of Memphis, Tenn., and Early Whitesides of Los Angeles; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth Martin of Houston.
Pallbearers include Albert (Mickey) Boyd, Benny Bradford, Larry House, Jeff Austin Sr., Wayne Socia and James Johnson.
