Mrs. Ballard died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010.
She was born May 1, 1930, in Quitaque to Lex and Madie Whitefield. She grew up in Texas and Oklahoma. She married Willie Ballard on Feb. 2, 1948. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Ballard of Plainview; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Lex Moffit of Plainview; three sons and daughters-in-law, Rickey and Pearl Ballard of New Deal, Rusty and Breanda Ballard of Brownwood and Randy and Hollye Ballard of Oklahoma City; and two sisters, Tretha Carpenter of Winniewood, Okla., and Norma Cornell of Pauls Valley, Okla. Her parents; five brothers; and a sister, Jewell "Riggs" Spain of Plainview, are deceased.
