Edris Bontadelli
Moscow, Idaho
Funeral for Edris Celia Bontadelli, 96, will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax.

Mrs. Bontadelli died Wednesday.

Born in St. John, Wash. she was a former longtime resident of Whitman County. She had lived briefly in California and spent the past 20 years in Moscow.

She married Albert Bontadelli in 1925. The couple farmed in the St. John area and in 1950 bought a business in Steptoe, Wash., called Bonnie's Grocery, which burned in 1954. They rebuilt and operated the restaurant/grocery store for several years.

After selling the business, Mrs. Bontadelli worked for the Colfax Grange Supply and Elliotts Paint Store in Colfax. She also worked at Washington State University in the President's House for Dr. Terrell.

She retired from WSU and made pies at the Wheel Inn Restaurant in Steptoe,

Mrs. Bontadelli was a 50-year member of Golden Link Eastern Star, a member of the Steptoe Grange, Rebekah Lodge, Daughters of the Nile and Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Moscow.

Her husband preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, James Bontadelli of Knoxville, tenn.; two daughters, Mae Schultz of Colfax and Lois Pritchett of Moscow; a sister, Jean Repo of Spokane; seven grandchildren, one stepgrandchild, 13 great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Whitman Hospice or Shriners Hospital for Children.
