Ruth White Adams, 89, made her transition on Sept. 6, 2013. The celebration of her life will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Whigham Funeral Home, 580 Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Blvd., Newark. Interment will be in Beverly National Cemetery, Beverly, N.J. Visitation is Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Mrs. Adams was born in Columbia, S.C., and was a resident of Newark. She was the beloved wife of the late James R. Adams Sr.; loving mother of Dolores Morrison (Frank Sr.) and the late Rosetta Lucas, James R. Adams Jr. and Donna Adams; daughter of the late Charles L. and Eliodora Costa; grandmother of 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
