She was the wife of the late William Donald Ballard.
Born Jan. 4, 1930, in Gadsden, Ala., she was a daughter of William Augustus and Mary Odessa Richards White of Landsdowne.
Mrs. Ballard was a homemaker.
She was a member of Westminster Baptist Church, Westminster.
Surviving in addition to her parents are four daughters, Donna Escobar and husband Enrique of Gaithersburg, Cheri Langworthy and husband Brad of Sarasota, Fla., Deborah Mullen of Middletown, and Melony Ballard of Hagerstown; one son, William D. Ballard II of Frederick; three sisters, Jeri Garrett of Arbutus, Joan Sparenberg of Glen Burnie, and Jackie Cline of Westminster; one brother, William Augustus White II of Fairfield, Pa.; nine grandchildren, Lisa and Jeff Sims, Sholm Jarboe, Angie and Amanda Langworthy, Debby Jean and Charles Mullen, Jennifer Granger and Heather Myers; and seven great-grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon and Christopher Baker, Joshua Sims, Sholm Jarboe II, Alexandria Langworthy and Destiny Anderson.
Mrs. Ballard will also be remembered by her daughter Deborah's fiancé, Ken Payne of Middletown, and her daughter Melony's fiancé, Purnell Armstrong of Hagerstown.
Mrs. Ballard was preceded in death by one grandson, Jason Jarboe.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 14, at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, March 15. The Rev. Larry Steen, Westminster Baptist Church, will officiate.
Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville.
