Ruby F. Babcock, age 74, of Wilton, died suddenly on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport, Iowa.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wilton. Additional visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wilton. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Garvin, Randy Dennis, Kyle Dennis, Austin Garvin, Brandon Garvin, Keith Pearl and Shane McDowell. Interment will take place at the Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton, Iowa.

Memorial donations may be made to Wilton First Responders or St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund in her memory.

Ruby Frances White was born May 16, 1940, to Francis and Marjorie (Pace) White in Muscatine. Ruby graduated from Wilton High School in 1958. She married Levering Lavern Babcock on April 11, 1959 in Wilton.

Ruby worked at Madison Elementary School in Muscatine for 38 years as a teacher's aid. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wilton. She enjoyed visiting and sharing coffee with her coffee clutch friends. She loved flower gardening. Above all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Ruby is survived by her husband, Vern; two daughters, Terri (Randy) Garvin of Wilton, and Kelly (Randy) Dennis of Clarence; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rosemary (Ray) Penningroth of Tipton.

She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

She was preceded in death by parents.
