Mrs. Norma Boeding
WEST POINT -- Mrs. Norma Boeding, 49, of West Point, died unexpectedly at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at Fort Madison Community Hospital.
She was born at Rome, Iowa, June 18, 1928 and had been a resident of West Point the past 23 years.
In October 1945, she married Richard Canaris. He died April 5, 1952 while serving with the United States Navy.
She married Leonard Al Boeding on Dec. 27, 1954. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1971.
Mrs. Boeding was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, the Altar and Rosary society, and a member of American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter White of Rome; a daughter, Mrs. George (Kris) Strnad, Milwaukee, Wis.; two bothers. George White, Norwalk, Iowa, Walter E. White, San Diego, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Joe Helton, Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. James Welding, West Point, Mrs. John Sammons, Rome.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan, 2, at St. Mary's church with the Rev. Francis Lenoch officiating. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery.
