Millie White Sloop Patterson, 88, of Mooresville, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Brian Center in Mooresville.
She was born on May 17, 1924 in Huntersville, to the late J.C. White and Mary Wells White. She was an independent business woman, owner and operator of Fashion-Two-Twenty Cosmetic Studio in Mooresville. She was an active member of Southside Baptist Church in Mooresville for over 70 years where she sang in the choir and was a nursery worker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Odell "Red" Sloop; son, Ronald Sloop; grandson, Jamey Sloop; sisters, Floroy W. Poole, Lib W. Fiddler, Alice W. Penninger.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Ray Patterson; son, Wayne Sloop and wife, Mary of Horse Shoe, NC; grandchildren, Alex Sloop and girlfriend, Lisa Ballard of Mooresville, Brian Sloop of Horse Shoe, Lori Danzey and husband, Stanley of Jacksonville, FL, Eddie Sloop and fiancÚ, Lori Gilmore of Monroe, Matthew Sloop and girlfriend, Sabrina Bowen of Horse Shoe, Scott Sloop of Sylva; great-grandchildren, Harrison and Blake Sloop and their mother, Tonya Cannon of Mountain Home, Cory Stinson, Stanley Danzey, Jr., Andrew Danzey and Elizabeth Danzey, all of Jacksonville, FL. .
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Childers and Rev. Hal Greene officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 525 S. Broad Street, Mooresville, NC 28115.
