Emma White Bullock , 97, of the 900 block of Mapole Ave., a retired schoolteacher, died March 9, 1992, in a hospital.
Mrs. Bullock was born in Mathews County, Va. She was a graduate of Hampton Institute, now Hampton University, and received her master's degree from Columbia University. She taught in Norfolk for 44 years and had retired from Laura E. Titus School. She was a member of the local, state and national education associations. She was the widow of Robert M. Bullock and was a member of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Kate W. Forrest and A. Gertrude White, both of Norfolk, and Leslie W. Clarke of Roanoke; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Joseph Dancy. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing will begin at noon Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth. The body will be placed in the church at noon Friday.
