BLACKSTONE, Thelma F. 82, of Seffner, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 6, 2013. She was a loving wife and mother, a homemaker, and a seamstress. Thelma was a member of the Falkenburg Road Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to Disney World and Busch Gardens. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Lula Mae White; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; and a daughter, Janey. Survivors include her devoted husband of 47 years, James D. Blackstone Jr.; a son; a brother; 3 sisters; 2 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. A private visitation for family and friends will take place at the home of James and Thelma on Friday, May 10. Funeral service will be at Stowers Funeral Home on Saturday, May 11 at 5 pm. Additional funeral services and burial will take place at Valhalla Funeral Home and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her honor to the Florida Baptist Children's Home. Thelma will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but will live on in their hearts and memories. Heaven is closer now and death is the conquered enemy. Stowers FH
