Margaret Mary White Ridley was the first born of John Leo White and Margaret Ormond White. She was born and raised in Astoria, NY along with her three sisters and one brother before moving to Bethpage, Long Island, NY in 1958.
Peg, as everyone knew her, married Allen D. Ridley, a Grumman Corp. Aerodynamic Engineer in 1962 and gave birth to two children - James Allen in 1964 and Maureen Teresa in 1966. She raised her children in Bethpage and I believe her happiest moments were as a mother and grandmother.
Peg had four grandchildren, James Allen Ridley II, Katherine Grace Ridley, Marissa Nicole Perez and Michael Alexander Perez and was predeceased by her husband Allen in July of 1999.
After two major strokes and years of declining health, Peg passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 1, 2011 while she was being tended too in a nursing facility in Woodbury, NY.
