Thomas worked as a sailmaker. Daughter Margaret worked as a laundry helper. Thomas Jr. worked as an electrician helper. All born in Scotland and listed as aliens, except Katherine who was born in the USA. Also living there was Margaret's mother, Margaret Carchrie, 60 (actually 65), born in Scotland. Thomas had been in the USA 7 years. Margaret, Mary, and William had been in the USA 3 years. Daughter Margaret, Thomas Jr., and Margaret Carchrie had been in the USA 2 years.

Also living ther was father Thomas, 59, brother William, 22, and sister Katherine, 10. Joseph and William worked as chauffers, and Thomas worked as a dockhand.
Listed in 1930 Census, Brooklyn, Kings County, NY, age 29, at 39 Coffey St, Brooklyn, NY, living with husband, Joseph, 37, and children Grace, 8, and Joseph, 5 1/12. All born in New York, except Mary born in Scotland. Joseph worked as a city chauffer. Also living there was Joseph's nephew Gerard Murphy, 9, Mary's father Thomas, 65, her brother William, 27, and her sister Catherine, 16. Thomas worked as a dock laborer, William worked as a dock pipe fitter, and Catherine worked as a factory helper. Mary naturalized in 1912.
