FOSTER R. WHITE, 84, of Huntington, W.Va., formerly of Seminole, Fla., widower of Mary Hosey White, passed away Monday, February 26, 2008, at Rivers Bend Health Care Center, South Point, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Woodmere Memorial Park, Abbey of Remembrance, Huntington. Burial will follow. He was born July 14, 1923, in Huntington, a son of the late Roscoe White and Delena Paugh White Clagg. He was a retired carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II, reaching the rank of CPO. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and DAV. Foster was also a 50-year member of the Crescent Lodge #32 AF&AM of Ceredo, W.Va., a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Masonic Hi-12 Club of Seminole, Fla. He was former member of Huntington and Largo, Fla., Elks Clubs, a 35-year member of Bay Pointe Golf Club and a member of Gulf Beach Board of Realtors, Seminole, Fla. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert White. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in- law, Sara and Pepper Weinberger and Mary Lou and Craig Dickson; three grandchildren and their wives, Brian and Susan Weinberger, Matt and Carrie Dickson and Brandon Dickson; one great-granddaughter, Marleigh Paige Dickson; a brother, Charles White of Reddington Shores, Fla., and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington. A procession will leave the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Howard P. Hall VFW Post 1064 of Huntington will conduct military graveside rites. Crescent Lodge #32 AF&AM of Ceredo will conduct Masonic graveside rites. Contributions may be made to Hospice, 1908 Carter Ave., Ashland, KY 41101-7730.
