Armstrong and Sarah Whitcomb married on November 11, 1887 at Boyleston to Bessie Pennington, also of Boyleston, age 21, daughter of Sebastian and Lydia (GRAHAM) PENNINGTON. The 1929 Whitcomb Reunion attendance record gives his wife's name as Martha, possibly a second wife. The same record also shows that John and Lottie Armstrong were in attendance in 1929. They lived in Frankfort; their son Orville, lived in Boswell, Indiana. James Armstrong lived in Kokomo and his daughter Sarah was married to Dale Grove.
