Marguerite "Peg" (Whitaker) Dionizio, 91, of 18 Saint James Street, West Hartford, beloved wife of the late Augusto J. Dionizio, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday (May 30, 2009) with her loving family by her side.


Born in Hartford, daughter of the late George and Margaret (Farrington) Whitaker, she had lived in West Hartford most of her life.


She was a communicant of St. Mark the Evangelist Church, West Hartford and had been employed at the Royal Typewriter Co.


She is survived by a son, A. James Dionizio and his wife, Terri of Las Vegas, NV and two daughters, Gail Lonczewski and her husband, Loren of South Windsor and Peggy Arseneaux and her husband, Peter of Glastonbury; a sister, Geraldine Luksic of Hartford; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson and several beloved nieces and nephews.


Funeral procession will be on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 467 South Quaker Lane, West Hartford.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford.
Calling hours are to be held on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
