Tracey P. McCurdy, 84, of ... died Tuesday, July 22. Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Westlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Don McCall officiating. There will be no visitation. Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McCurdy was born June 15, 1902, in Kearney County south of Gibbon, the daughter of George and Mary Gipson Whitaker. She received her education and grew up near Oconto. On April 19, 1920, she married Orva McCurdy at Kearney. They lived in Kearney until 1937, when they moved to Grand Island. Mr. McCurdy died in February 1970. Since 1973 she had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Lavena Shanks.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lavena Shanks of Grand Island and Mrs. Keith (June) Alfred of Lewiston, Idaho; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
