FULLERTON -Phyllis F. Hadfield, 84, of Fullerton died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Milder Manor in Lincoln.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the First Presbyterian Church in Fullerton. Pastor Linda Lambert will officiate. Burial will be in the Fullerton Cemetery. Palmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hadfield was born Aug. 13, 1928, to Bert and Margaret (Seely) Whitaker near Vivian, S.D.
Survivors of the immediate family include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lucy and Tom Adkins of Lincoln, Kathleen and Kim Timperley of Norfolk and Bonnie Hadfield of Lincoln; daughter-in-law, Huldah Brown of Sutton; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Max Whitaker of Silverton, Ore., and one sister, Shirley Anderson of Overland Park, Kan.
As a toddler, she moved with her family to Fullerton. On Aug. 15, 1946, she married Douglas Hadfield. They farmed in Nance County before retiring into Fullerton in 1993. Mr. Hadfield passed away April 1, 2007.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, needlework and crafts and square dancing.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for 50 years and served many offices. She was a past 4-H leader.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Linda Brown; and son-in-law, Alan Brown; brother, Ronald and infant siblings, Donald and Betty.
