Linda S. England, 45, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
She was born Oct. 9, 1957, at Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Richard Sr. and DeAnna Kennedy Whitaker.
A resident of Big Bow since 1987, she was a homemaker. She attended Bethel Church of the Nazarene, belonged to the Christian Motorcycle Association, and enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, working in her flower garden and helping others.
On June 18, 1978, she married Pat England at Vernal, Utah. He survives. She also is survived by a son, Cpl. Byron A. England of Jacksonville, N.C.; a daughter, ReAnn M. England of Arkansas City; two brothers, Richard L. and William Whitaker, both of Fort Worth, Texas; and a sister, Debra A. Nelson of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Rick Whitaker.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel, Johnson City, with the Rev. Tom Boese officiating. Burial will follow in Greeley County Cemetery, Tribune.
Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials to the American Red Cross may be sent in care of the funeral home, 605 W North Ave., Johnson City, KS 67855.
