Survivors include his wife, Donna Whitaker of Plano; three daughters and their husbands, Donita and Bruce Wendt of Flower Mound Texas, Kathleen and Mark Rice of Plano, Texas, and Susan and Leonard Cook of Lewisville, Texas.; three sons and their wives, Phillip Ray Whitaker Jr. and Mary of Plano, Paul and Cathy of Wheaton, Ill. and Prescott and Linda of Carrollton, Texas; 17 grandchildren, four brothers and their wives, Virgil and Letha of Ewing, Mo., Robert and Ellen of Lafayette, Colo., Cliff and Betty of Plano, and Daryl and Claire Siebens of Le Mars, Iowa.; four sisters, Madeline Trpkosh and her husband, Dell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa., Virginia Leekley and her husband, Edmund of Westfield, Iowa., Lorraine Crabill of Ewing, Mo., and Norma Wendt and her husband, Ronald of Le Mars, Iowa.; five half-brothers, and three half-sisters.
