Kathleen Romlda Halvorsen, 59, died Dec. 13, 2003 of nautral cuases in Klamath Falls. Specific cause of death was not given.

She was born in San Jose, Calif. to Doulgass Edward and Romklda Agnes (Mancuso) Whitaker.

She was also raised in San Jose.

She attended college, inlcuding Southern Oregon University and Oregon Institute of Technology, for two years.

She married John Halvorsen on Oct. 5, 1968, in Palm Springs, Calif.

While their children were growing up, she was a homemaker. Later, she became owner and operator of a horse breeding and showing venture.

Mrs. Halvorsen was involved with her children in the Klamath Falls Swim Team. She was also a big fan of OIT. She joined the booster club and provided color commentary for the basketball team.

She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

In addition, she was affiliated with the Oregon State University Home Extension Service and served as a volunteer at Klamath Hospice.

She enjoyed bowling, golf, and cross-country skiing.

Survivors include her husband John Halvorsen of Klamath Falls; son and daughter-in-law Douglass and Beth Halvorsen of Klamath Falls; son Justin Halvorsen of Klamath Falls; grandchildren, Abbie Halvorsen and Antyhony Buck-Halvorsen of Klamath Falls; brother Douglass Whitaker of San Garviel, Calif.; and nieces Katelyn Whitaker of San Francisco and Megan Whitaker of Marquette University.
