Surintha J. Whisler died at her home, one mile east of Achilles, KS., at 2 a.m. Saturday morning, Feb., 11, 1899. Mrs. Surintha J. Whistler moved with her husband and children to Thomas county in 1893, where she resided four miles south of Colby until about a year ago when she moved with her husband to a farm near Achilles, where she lived until death. She leaves a husband and a family of 6 children, and 5 brothers to mourn her death: there _______ a faithful wife, a loving mother, and a dear and only sister, and the community a kind and Christian neighbor.
