She was born in Jay County on June 7, 1924, the daughter of Frank and Nora (Geesaman) Whipple. She was married May 18, 1946 to George Myron and he passed away June 28, 2004. She was retired from C.T.S. in Berne and was a member of Walnut Corner Church and Primetime.
Surviving are a son, Dr. Steve Myron of Portland; two daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Bonnie) Dixon of Lawrenceville, GA, and Mrs. John (Betty) Lyons of Portland; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Rogers presiding. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Pennville. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. Thursday. Memorials can be made to Portland Foundation George Myron 4-H Fund.
