Beaver, Druzilla Clarice "Dotty" (Wharton), 76, homemaker, went in peace to be with her Lord, March 31, 2005. Dotty was born Sept. 30, 1928 in Wichita, to James J. and Anna E. (Worden) Wharton. Before her illness, Dotty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Dotty attended her later years of school and high school in Derby, before her marriage to Nicholas L. Beaver on June 29, 1947. After marriage and having two sons, she volunteered at Derby grade schools with Special Education children. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Nicholas H. Beaver. Survivors: husband, Nicholas, Mulvane; son, Carl A. Beaver, Mulvane; grandchildren, Nicholas and Kandi Beaver, Wichita, Dawn Button, Diberville, MS, April Ruth and Robbie Parker, Peck, Jeremy A. Beaver, Mulvane; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald J. and Susie Wharton, Wentzville, MO, Milton D. and Gladys Wharton, Belle Plaine, Vernon D. and Jean Wharton, Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Merlin D. Wharton, Appleton City, MO, Delbert E. and Jo Ann Wharton, Mulvane, Raymond D. Wharton, Royal, AR, V. Darlene and William "Buss" Scott, Haysville, V. DeAnn and James Learned, Brighton, CO; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, service 10 a.m. Monday, both at Smith Mortuary, Derby; interment will be in Mulvane Cemetery.
