Frank was the son of Franz Weydert & Anna Maria Thilges. He married Susan Hilbert on 20 NOV 1900 in St. Joseph, Iowa. They were the parents of Mary, Mary Ann, Nicholas, Mathias, & Anton.

Feb 8, 1934 - Kossuth county Advance - Frank Weydert, widely known St. Joe farmer, died Monday morning. He had been in failing health a year and a half and was critically sick during the last two months. The immediate cause of death was tumor. Funeral services were conducted yesterday morning at St. Joseph's church St. Joe, Father Theobald officiating and burial was made in the St Joe cemetery.

Mr. Weydert was born in Luxembourg 63 years ago. When he was 19 he immigrated to America and settled in the St Joe neighborhood. In 1900 he was married to Susan Hilbert, who, with four children survives.

The children are Mrs. Nick Kirsch, east of Algona and Nick, Matt, and Tony, all at home. There are five grandchildren. Two brothers in this country, N. J. Weydert of Algona, and Nick, St Joe, survive; also a few close relatives in the old country.

Mr Weydert was an industrious farmer who owned a half section northwest of St. Joe in Riverside township. He was a member of the St Joseph Catholic church.
