Funeral Service for Mr. Cleo Westmoreland, 80, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Pitts and Bro. Glenn Woods officiating. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery in Upshaw. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Westmoreland died Saturday, January 31, 2015, at his residence in Addison. He was born July 17, 1934, in Lawrence County to John Rufus Westmoreland and Bethel Kemp Westmoreland. Mr. Westmoreland was an Army veteran and a machinist for Parker Hannifin. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Gregory Cleo Westmoreland; and a daughter, Kimberly Yvette Westmoreland.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Steele Westmoreland, of Addison; son,
Chris Westmoreland (Ann), of Hartselle; daughters, Vonnie Sparkman (Larry) and Amanda Engle (Vince), both of Hartselle; grandchildren,
Dustin Sparkman, Justin "Bo" Sparkman, Derek Sparkman, Josh Westmoreland, Jessica Baker, Kayla Westmoreland, Brandon Heath Westmoreland, Jacob Bryson, Dalton Westmoreland, and Alexis Engle; and ten great- grandchildren.
Grandsons and Vince Engle will serve as pallbearers.
