The death roll - Monday, August 3, 1891 - Lafayette Daily News. -- Mrs. George Wells, aged 69 years, one of the oldest residents of Lauramie township, died at the family residence near Stockwell, Sunday morning at 6:00 a.m., of heart disease, leaving a husband and two children; Charles Wells and Mrs. Samuel Funk to mourn her loss. She was a noble hearted old lady and was beloved by all. She was an aunt of Dr. A. A. Wells, and Wesley Wells, of this city, and Hon. A. F. Wells, of Stockwell. The funeral was held at 3:00 p.m., this afternoon, conducted by Dr. Godfrey, with interment at Concord.
