A Connersville native, she was born November 19, 1924 to Samuel and Ida West. In 1942, she graduated from Connersville High School. She had been employed at Stant Manufacturing for several years and was a member of Central Christian Church. She enjoyed the challenge of advanced crossword puzzles, was an avid bowler and loved cats.
Survivors include two daughters and their spouses: Sandy and Chester Burton of Connersville, LuAnn and James Burns of the Columbia community; four grandchildren: Amanda Burton of Newark, OH, Matthew Burton, Kristina Raham and Alexandria Burns all of Connersville; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Jean Hinchman and her husband, H. Dale Anderson.
Funeral services will be conducted
at 10 a.m. Saturday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Rev. James R. Orr officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday where memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
