Norma (West) Moore, 77, of Greenville, SC, passed away Friday, October 28, 2005, after a brief illness.

Born in West Blocton, AL, on January 26, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Glen West and Estelle (Carroll) West.

Mrs. Moore was a member of the First Baptist Church in Greenville, a member of the Fidelis Women's Sunday school class and a volunteer in the Infant Toddler Program. She attended the University of Alabama and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, William A. "Bill" Moore; a son, W. Glen Moore and his wife, Kathy H. Moore; one daughter, Carol M. Christy and her husband, J.R. Christy; four grandchildren, Russell M. Christy, Carol Marie Christy, both of Greenville, and Markus G. Moore of Charlotte, and Ann Christy Godfrey and husband, Will Godfrey, of Greer; one sister, Annette W. Carpenter of Greenville; and one brother, Charles Glen West and his wife, Dorothy West, of Columbus, Ga.; two nephews, Stanley West of Alexandria, Va. and Steven West, Columbus. Extended family includes Thien Quang Pham and his wife, Ann, and daughters Kim and Kathy, all of Humble, Texas.

The family received friends in the Narthex of the church.

Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church, Greenville, with Dr. Jeffery Rogers, Dr. Donna Forester and Dr. Baxter Wynn officiating.

Entombment followed at Graceland East Memorial Park, Simpsonville.
