Mrs. Laura Harshman, 86, of Mulberry, died Wednesday afternoon at the St. Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette, where she had been a patient since May 12.

Mrs. Harshman was a native of Pershing, Ind., where she was born March 16, 1875. She was a daughter of the Rev. J. W. and Lucinda (Klingensmith) Wesner. On June 15, 1898, she was united in marriage with B. Frank Harshman. He died Aug. 31, 1936.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran church, which she served in many capacities.

Survivors include a son, Harold H. Harshman of Lafayette route 6; a daughter, Mrs. Freda Rutan, also of Lafayette route 6; a sister, Mrs. G. L. Greves, of Lafayette, La.; four grandsons, Gordon and Richard Rutan, Robert Harshman and Dr. James Harshman, and 10 great-grandchildren.

A son, Dr. Martin L. Harshman, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday at the Johnson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Russell Bussabarger officiating. Burial will be in the Fair Haven cemetery.
