HARWICH - Sophie (Zaborniak) Werner, 80, formerly of Chatham, died Saturday at Falmouth Hospital.
She was the wife of Charles Werner, who died in 1990.
Mrs. Werner was born in Trenton, N.J.
She was an airplane assembler for General Motors during World War II, and later for General Electric and Boeing in Philadelphia.
She was active in the Chatham VFW Women's Auxiliary and was a past member of Chatham Women's Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Demnyan of Midway, Pa.; a son, Charles Werner Jr. of Cotuit; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Burial is private.
