WERDEN, Luella A. (Fenner) – Of Burton, age 95, died Wednesday, February 9, 1994 at Kith Haven. Funeral service will be held at 10 AM Monday, February 14, 1994 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Roger L. Colby officiating. Burial in Mt. Morris Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the Central United Methodist Church or the charity of their choice. Visitation from 10 AM – 9 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Werden was born in Mt. Morris, Michigan on June 2, 1898, the daughter of Frank S. and Mary L. (Nichols) Fenner. She was a resident of Flint and Burton areas most of her life. She married Ernest N. Werden on February 8, 1928, Flint and was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Surviving are her son Reverend Donald E. and wife Louise Werden of Burton; 3 daughters, Vera R. Hunt of Mayville, MI, Dorothy W. and husband William Kowal of Kalamazoo, MI, Norene A. Buchner of Libertyville, IL; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Edith Harmon of Farwell, MI; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest in 1971; 4 brothers, LeRoy, Claude, Homer and Alton Fenner; sister, Margaret Saxton.
