Asa was the third son of Dr Isaac Worden and Jerusha Pierson and grandson of Capt Isaac Worden who died 1781-1783 in British Dominica, a British government loyalist.
At the age of 18-20 he left CT and walked to Canada. He tried to regain his grandfathers land in the Gaspe, but was unsuccessful. His immigration to Canada resulted in receiving Government land grant of 1,800 plus or minus another 600 acres of valuable timber land in PE Co.
Asa was member of 11th UC parliament 1831-1834 representing PE County. Asa married Elizabeth Aylesworth and they had 14 children.
Asa built a mansion with 20 rooms in 1813.
He left an estate of more then $250,000
