Kathryn F. Tyndall, 89, formerly of Orwigsburg and Williamsport passed away on Friday, September 12, 2008 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim.
Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Annabelle Wolfe Wentz. Kathryn was the wife of the late Walter B. Tyndall Sr. who died in 2006. She was a 1936 graduate of Tamaqua High School and a 1942 graduate of the Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing.
A homemaker, Kathryn was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, South Williamsport, PA. She was a member of the Williamsport and Yarborough Bridge Club, Williamsport Lycoming County Council of Republican Women Membership Chairperson and the Faxon Bowling 'Pacesetters' League. She was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels, Williamsport. Kathryn loved sewing and she especially loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Surviving is a son, Walter B. Jr. husband of Betty Tyndall of East Petersburg, a daughter, Judy wife of Bill Butler of West Chester; four grandchildren, Jonathan husband of Lynne Tyndall of Maine, Jessica Gulden of East Petersburg, Brock husband of Kara Butler of New Jersey, Heather wife of Aaron Anderson of Colorado; two great grandsons, Andrew and Alex Gulden; two sisters, Ruth DeAngelo of Allentown and Doris wife of Frank Mikolajczyk of Elizabethtown.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Hoffer Auditorium, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, PA on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 10:30 AM with Pastors John M. Smaligo and Paul F. Keefer officiating. Interment in Salem Evangelical Cemetery, Orwigsburg, PA. There will be a public viewing at Hoffer Auditorium on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
