She had been in declining health for seven years. She had been a resident of Blue Ridge Rehabitation Center and Roman Eagle Memorial Home since February.
She was the daughter of the late Joel Estes Wells, Sr and Elsie Smith Wells.
She lived her entire life in Pittsylvania County, VA. She retired after 32 years from Ennis Business Forms in Chatham, VA.
She was a graduate of Whitmell Farm Life School.
She was a member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Dry Fork, VA.
She was a volunteer of Oak Grove Nursing Home in Chatham and the Bethel Way Adult Center in Axton, VA.
She was predeceased by one brother Joel Estes Wells, Jr and one niece.
She is survived by two brothers William W Wells of Danville, VA and Garland Wells, Sr and his wife Lois J Wells of Dry Fork, one sister Mattie Wells Jones and her husband Ralph J Jones, Sr of Dry Fork, three nieces and three nephews.
Graveside services were held at Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend Roger Collins, Reverend Harvey Johnson and Reverend William Preskitt officiating.
Burial was in the Church cemetery.
Wren-Yeatts Westover Chapel served the family.
