Esther was born in Stockholm the daughter of Albert and Josie Wells Wells. She attended St. Joseph's Academy, Brasher Falls. She married James J. Burnett in 1931 at Holy Cross Church. The marriage ended in divorce in 1966.
Ms. Burnett is survived by six son, Arthur, Wolcott, Richard, Parishville, David Bishop, CA, Dennis and Dale, both of Winthrop and Andrew, Potsdam; two daughters, Eleanor Ellis, West Stockholm and Mrs. John (Jean) Edward, Sebring, FL,; 38 grandchildren; one brother Timothy Calnon Wolcott and one sister, Mary Gerrish, Potsdam.
Two son, Albert and Paul, three brothers, Edgar, Elmer and Emery and three sisters, Edna, Eleanor and Elizabeth, died before her.
