My great-great-uncle. He was the next-youngest of Hugo Wellek and Alice Neiman Wellek's six children. His older siblings were Hugh, Alice, Joe, and Annie, and his younger brother was George. At the age of only two, he and his siblings lost their father in a tragic accident when his delivery wagon was struck by a train in the rain. In due time, they received a stepfather, Adolph Herman, though they retained their father's name.
Frank married a woman named Emma (Emmie), and they made their home and family in the Latrobe area, where he had been raised.
