Funeral services for Mrs. Winnie M. Beard, 82, of Frankston, were held Thursday, August 1, at 2 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston with the Rev J.A. Griffin officiating.
Burial will be in the Frankston City Cemetery.
Mrs. Beard died Wednesday, July 31 in a Jacksonville hospital following a brief illness.
She was born May 18, 1903 in Collin county, but had lived at Frankston most of her life. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, T.L. Beard, B.J. Beard, D.A. (Doodle) Beard and T.E. (Pete) Beard of Frankston; four daughters, Mrs. Novalene Burris of Lancaster, Mrs. Betty Reese and Mrs. Mary Randall of Dallas, and Mrs. Gladys Overton of Hurst; three sisters, Mrs. Lettie Valentine of Kemp, Mrs. Leola Elrod of Jacksonville, and Mrs Lady Langston of Kaufman; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Harold Johnson, Harry Williams, Jimmy Lade, Herbert Riley, James Wilson and Thomas Cook.
