Carolyn Ann Welch, 67, of Midwest City passed away Monday, January 26, 2009. Born October 19, 1941 in East Liverpool, Ohio to John and Muriel Heckler, Carolyn grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She later received her nursing license, then met and married Daniel E. Welch. A young couple's decision to begin a family also came with the decision for Carolyn to be a stay at home mom. The Air Force eventually brought the Welch's to Midwest City where they established a permanent residency. In Midwest City, Carolyn taught Sunday school and was a member of Douglas Boulevard United Methodist church. Passion for family and church along with a giving spirit will cause all who knew Carolyn to miss her deeply. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, David; Carolyn is survived by: her husband of 42 years, Daniel E. Welch; children: Daniel B. Welch and wife Kim; Susan Schnebly and husband Trollen and Patricia Welch; grandchildren: Dustin and Emalee Welch and Joshua, Eythan and Stephen Schnebly along with a host of other dear friends. Services for Carolyn will be 2:00 pm, Friday, January 30, 2009 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Kolb Cemetery.
