ECKENRODE - Pauline F., 89, a resident of Laurel Crest Manor, Ebensburg, formerly of Beck Road, Loretto, died April 5, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born April 5, 1919, in Cresson, daughter of the late John & Anna (Bender) Weiland. Preceded in death by husband, Harry, on Jan. 20, 2004; brothers, Paul, John, Clarence, Edwin and twin brother, Herbert; sisters, Hilda Garrett, Vera Brodish, and Louise Plummer. Survived by children, Kenneth (Lucille Yannarella), Sharpsville; Robert (Rita Wasser), Ebensburg; Darlene Jovenall (Frank), Sharpsville; Mary Ann Schlosser, Waldorf, Md.; and Donna Landi (Joseph), Cresson; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pauline was the last member of her immediate family. Pauline enjoyed participating in all activities at Laurel Crest Manor. Member of the Basilica of St. Michael, Loretto, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Committal, St. Michael Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville, where a vigil service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Loretto Ambulance Co. or the Loretto Volunteer Fire Company in Pauline's memory.
