Son of Paul George and Wallie Dora (Schratzenstaller) Weigel. Husband of Violet C. Weaver. Father of James P. Weigel and Kathie L. Weigel. Grandfather of Dean, Peter, Tina and Jimmy. Brother of Jean McComb.
Robert was retired as a machinist at Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. He was a member of Faith E.U.B. Methodist Church, Firestone Credit Union, and the VFW.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving as a gunner's mate aboard the U.S.S. Guest in the South Pacific.
He enjoyed golf, hiking, vacationing with his family and deep sea fishing with his work buddies.
