Marjorie "Marj" Weidner, 68, of Olney formerly of Wendelin, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 in Olney.
Marj was born May 29, 1947 to John "JV" and Florine Antonette (Buerster) Weidner.
Marj graduated from Clay City High School in Clay City, IL and also from Lockyear College which is located in Evansville, IN. Marj was employed with GTE for 12 years in Bloomington, IL and Pacific Cycle formerly known as AMF and Roadmaster in Olney for 38 years. She worked in the office at both companies. Marj was a very dedicated and active member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball club and followed NASCAR, in particular Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Marj is survived by her siblings, John (Norma) Weidner, Judy Hemrich, MaryJane (Wayne) Newton, Harold (Beverly) Weidner, Myron (Rhonda) Weidner, Betty (Galen) Slover, Henry (Lynn) Weidner, Dale (Shelby) Weidner, Suzanna Travous, Annette (Brian) Mosby, and Lisa (Neal) Weber. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nephews, and great nieces.
Preceding her in death are her Parents, two Brothers, William Weidner and George Weidner, and infant Nephew Jason Weidner, and a Brother in law Ronald Hemrich.
Funeral service will be at the Holy Cross Catholic Chruch, in Wendelin, IL, with burial in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
The Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, in Olney, is in charge of the arrangements.
